How my nails are always done!
Howdy! If you are like me and love to have your nails done, let me teach you how I do mine! Spoiler alert I don't go to the salon or pay more than 10 dollars to have them done. My cousin taught me how to do this almost 4 years ago and I have had my nails done every 2 weeks ever since! The solution is glue on nails. I know you are probably thinking "those don't last 2 weeks" or "they always look fake" well I was taught how to make them last and look real. Here is exactly how to do it!
1. Gather Your Supplies:
Press-on nails
Nail glue (if not provided with the press-on nails)
Nail file
Cuticle stick or orange stick
cloth or napkin
2. Prep Your Natural Nails:
Start by removing any existing nail polish using a cotton pad or swab with nail polish remover.
Trim and shape your natural nails with a nail file to your desired length and shape.
Gently file the surface of your nails to create a rough base for the press-on nails.
3. Select the Right Size:
Lay out the press-on nails in the order you plan to apply them. Match each press-on nail to the corresponding natural nail for the best fit.
4. Push back Cuticles
Push back cuticles with stick or press-on nail to create a perfect fit.
5. Apply Nail Glue:
Apply a small amount of nail glue to the back of the press-on nail, spreading it evenly.
6. Press On the Nails:
Carefully align the press-on nail with your natural nail, starting from the cuticle and pressing down towards the tip.
Hold the press-on nail in place for a few seconds to allow the glue to bond.
7. Repeat the Process:
Continue applying press-on nails to each finger, working on one hand at a time.
If using nail glue, be cautious not to use too much to avoid excess glue seeping out from the sides.
8. Shape and Trim:
Once all the press-on nails are applied, use a nail file to shape them according to your preference. Using shorter more natural styles will help your nails to look like real nails. You may also add a top coat to seal everything in.
